The Solution
RITEWAYS provided a trial of the TALLBOY® TBB1500 composting bin, a completely natural, aerobic composting solution that works without electricity or mechanical processing. With some initial handholding and guidance, the Urvi team learned to compost even the dewatered waste effectively. Impressed with the performance, ease of use, and odour-free process, they soon ramped up capacity by adding more TALLBOY® units.
The Problem
Urvi by Aralaguppe, a premium eco-conscious convention center in Bengaluru, was striving for a Zero Waste event operation. While they had invested nearly ₹40 lakhs in a German dewatering machine to reduce the volume of food waste, it still did not solve the core problem - the waste was not getting composted. Each event, hosting 500–1000 guests, generated around 250 kg of food waste, and the lack of an effective composting solution left them short of their sustainability goals.
