Conclusion

NACIN’s commitment to environmental responsibility is strongly reflected in their choice of the rejuWATER® STP. By adopting a soil biofiltration-based system, they not only manage their wastewater efficiently but also conserve resources and reduce pollution. This project highlights how government institutions can take the lead in building green campuses through practical, low-footprint technologies.

Testimonial

"Riteways' rejuWATER® STP is a quiet hero of our campus. It handles occupancy swings like a pro and helped us go green without complexity or cost. Truly sustainable engineering."

— Project Engineer, NACIN Campus Redevelopment

The Results

  • Smooth handling of extreme occupancy variations with no system failure or odor.

  • Significant savings in operational cost due to zero energy consumption.

  • Seamless integration with the existing green infrastructure of the campus.

  • Helped NACIN earn a prestigious Five-Star Green Building Certification, with the STP playing a key role.

The Solution

With technical guidance from TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), NACIN opted for rejuWATER® STP by Riteways. Instead of dismantling the old septic tank, Riteways ingeniously retrofit the rejuWATER® system around it, turning a challenge into an opportunity. The passive, zero-power rejuWATER® system is built to withstand shock loads effortlessly, with no dependence on motors, blowers, or chemicals.

The Problem

The National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NACIN) was upgrading its campus from a conventional septic tank setup to a modern, sustainable facility. A key challenge was designing a sewage treatment system that could handle highly fluctuating loads — from minimal usage during off-session periods to full capacity during IRS officer training programs. Most traditional STPs with electromechanical systems struggle to cope with such shock loads, risking failure or inefficiency.
