Conclusion

The Canopy Crest IRS retrofit showcases how existing STPs, once considered non-functional or too costly to run, can be transformed into efficient and low-maintenance systems with rejuWATER® technology. The community not only reduced operational costs but also ensured environmental compliance with ease. It is a testament to how thoughtful retrofitting can restore trust in STP infrastructure and make sustainability simpler for housing societies.

Testimonial

— RWA Member, Canopy Crest IRS Apartments

The Results

Running cost dropped from ₹75,000/month to just ₹5,000/month.

STP is now consistently operational and meets discharge norms.

Recycled water is safely used for in-campus gardening, reducing freshwater usage.

Zero dependency on skilled operators or constant maintenance.

Residents regained trust in their STP and proudly run a sustainable system.

The Solution

RITEWAYS stepped in to retrofit the existing electromechanical STP with its innovative rejuWATER® natural treatment modules, using the original civil structure. The complete STP machinery was shut down — no more motors, blowers, or daily chemical dosing. rejuWATER® enabled a natural, gravity-based treatment system that runs silently, requires minimal intervention, and is easy to maintain by any watchman or gardener.

The Problem

Canopy Crest IRS, a residential apartment complex near Kogilu Cross, Bengaluru, with 86 flats had a 30 KLD sewage treatment plant (STP) installed by the builder. However, the residents had abandoned its use due to high electricity bills, consumable costs, and the lack of skilled manpower required to operate the electromechanical setup. As a result, the community was losing the opportunity to recycle water and reduce their environmental footprint.
